Fire Grenade  & Target Ball 2011 Price Guide

This guide covers glass fire grenades and glass target balls. Both of these highly sought after collectibles began about the same time in the 1870s, both popularized by public shows and demonstrations. It was common practice for fire grenade manufacturers to set up a display of how well their product worked against the danger of fire. At the time homes were heated with wood, kitchens were supplied with wood stoves as well and kerosene and gas lamps lit the homes and businesses fire was a real danger.
