Old Bottles in New OrleansThis picture is of a bottle I found under my 1850's home in New Orleans. So far no one is familiar with it. Any ideas? Thanks so much. Just started digging for fun. It's addictive! lol
That is a very cool looking bottle.
while I suspect it might be a sauce or perfume, it reminds me of the popular
cabin style bottles that were often bitters container. The volume looks to
be too small to be either a bitters or a whiskey, so I am coming down on the
side of Sauce or perfume. If in good shape, and clean it might bring $50-75.
Exactly what were you doing digging under your house? Digger
