DIGGER ODELL PUBLICATIONS ©2004
The number of distilling establishments in the United States started to decline after hitting a peak number of 965 establishments in 1899. By 1914, the number had dropped to 434 establishments and throughout the Prohibition years it ranged from only 27-33 distillers. But boy boy, when Prohibition ended, everyone got on the band wagon. The early 1930s saw more whiskey trademarks than any other time in history. Here a small sample of what was registered.
|PRE-PROHIBITION||JAMES CLARK DISTILLING||DICKEL||FINCH|
|FOREIGN DISTILLERS||GLENLIVET||GLENMORE DISTILLERIES CO||HIRAM WALKER|
|JACK DANIELS||MISCELLANEOUS DISTILLERS||NATIONAL DISTILLERS PRODUCTS||OVERHOLT|
|PARK AND TILFORD||OLDETYME DISTILLERS INC||CANADIAN PATENT OFFICE|
